The activists of theRight Half Association took to the streets last October to demand that the 50% of the Recovery Fund was intended for women. On Saturday 23rd at 11 a.m. they organise a flash mob in Rome, Milan, Turin and Palermo to say that what is in the published documents is not enough.

Here is the communiqué.

RECOVERY DOESN'T COVER US - #NONCE
SATURDAY 23 JANUARY 11 A.M. - FLASHMOB

In his speech to the Chamber of Deputies, the Prime Minister confirmed thecommitment to female employment.
In October (see here e here) we submitted appel to the government that collected 50,000 signatures and we took to the streets of Rome to bring your and our "It's not fair'demanding that in planning and deploying the unique and vast resources of the Recovery Fund coming from Europe, proper attention should be paid to redressing gender inequalities that represent a real brake on female employment and economic growth in the country.

There can be no restart without half the population. 60% of the jobs lost in 2020 are women.
In the draft plan drawn up by the government, gender equality is now indicated as a transversal premise, but without the indication of precise projects or the allocation of adequate economic resourcesstarting with what most engages women and prevents them from both emancipating themselves and being able to contribute fully to the country's economy: unpaid care work.
We ask for an evaluation before and after the impact on men and women of each euro invested.
We want:
-work
-4 billion more for kindergartens so that every child has a place.
-care services and care for the disabled and elderly.
-a law on equal pay.
-enlargement of the protections of the maternity to self-employed workers
-access to credit and financing to women's enterprises
-transparent procurement to those who ensure gender equality
We also ask 5 months of compulsory paternity leave as opposed to the current 10 days.

For this SATURDAY 23 JANUARY at 11 a.m. we will come down again to shout that NOT ENOUGH in four Italian squares
ROME - Piazza Trilussa
MILAN - Piazza San Fedele
TORINO - Piazza Castello
PALERMO (virtual square)

We care about the safety of all and sundry, so for the sake of distancing if you want to actively participate in the flashmob and secure one of the limited placards you will find in the square, write to us.
DO YOU WANT TO SUPPORT THE FLASHMOB BY MAKING YOUR VOICE HEARD WHEREVER YOU ARE?
The flashmob is also online! Post a photo with the sign WE DON'T NEED IT (found here or you can write it by hand), tag us and add the hashtags #not enough #just enough

Marina Terragni: 'There is a desire to erase women, their bodies, their difference'.
An interview with writer Marina Terragni: Zan bill, the language of inclusion, feminism and transphobia. "I am not a gender, I am a woman".
Original article here Marina Terragni corrects me straight away: 'I am not a historic feminist, I am simply a feminist'. For some time, before the DDL Zan (a bill presented by Italian deputy Alessandro Zan) matter became current in Italy, Terragni - writer and philosophy lecturer on contract - has been dealing with one of the most controversial issues in the western feminist world, gender identity: a concept that has divided feminists in two, those who believe that the category [...].

Marina Terragni: 'There is a desire to give women, their hearts, their difference'.

Rebecca Solnit refuses to talk to me
Disaster of identitarianism: I was supposed to interview the American essayist at Mantua's Festivaletteratura but, 24 hours before, she cancelled the meeting, opting for a speech without a debate. They told her I was 'transphobic' and that she would get into trouble. Here are my questions, which she had wanted in advance: you judge When I announced on Twitter that I would be interviewing Rebecca Solnit at the Festivaletteratura in Mantua, one user warned me: "A transfeminist open to debate?". I would never have imagined that 24 [...]

When I announced on Twitter that I would be interviewing Rebecca Solnit at the Festivaletteratura in Mantua, a user warned me: "A transfeminist open to debate?". I would never have imagined that 24 hours before the meeting, with no respect for my work, Solnit would have refused the dialogue - opting for a short speech without a debate - because, according to her, I am 'transphobic'. Dear Twitter friend, I should have listened to you. Things like this have happened to many others, and many times. JK Rowling, a [...]

Trans, "femminielli" and the mother's body
The Anglo-Saxon LGBTQ culture distorts the ancient Mediterranean wisdom of sexual difference. And also modern day femminielli want to be called women. Breaking with the symbolic order of the mother to surrender to the law of the father
In Italy the transcult came as a surprise. We would never have believed it. Some of us had been following UK events for some time - starting with the attempt, which was finally abandoned, to reform the Gender Recognition Act - and overseas but mistakenly we thought that nothing of the kind would ever happen to us. In Southern Europe, gender identity presents itself as cultural abuse. When I try to tell our Anglo-Saxon sisters about the millenary culture of [...].

Italian Taliban
Four femicides in 24 hours: Talibans are not only in Afghanistan. Everywhere in the world one sex is oppressing the other, and violence is a function of domination. We cannot consider our Afghan sisters as "us" and "them". The fight for women's freedom is one and the same.
Four femicides in 24 hours. Four women were killed by men related to them - husbands, fathers, boyfriends, former partners - simply because they were women. A mother and a daughter in Carpiano, near Milan. A wife in the province of Bologna. A girl, killed by her former boyfriend, in Aci Trezza, in the province of Catania. The details of such events are useless if not to confirm, once again, the inefficacy of the measures of protection: those who should [...]
