Telling about sexual harassment
A very participative research conducted by the Milano-Bicocca University and recounted in a book edited by Chiara Volpato investigates the issue in depth, revealing that harassers are in most cases known men who are part of the family, friendship and work circle. That harassment renews and reinforces the device of domination. And that -as in the case of sexual violence- the mechanism of self-blame on the part of the victims is a constant in their experiences.
The book "Telling sexual harassment. An empirical investigation' edited by Chiara Volpato (Rosenberg & Sellier, 2023) stems from the need expressed by many female students at the University of Milan-Bicocca to thoroughly investigate the phenomenon of sexual harassment. Chiara Volpato, lecturer in Social Psychology at the aforementioned university, enthusiastically accepted the proposal. The research team prepared a questionnaire that was distributed within the University and the first data that emerged was the very high and unexpected number of women [...].

Towards the abolition of surrogacy: an anthology and a debate
CIAMS publishes a multi-voice book against the uterus for rent and discusses it in an open webinar. In the meantime, in Italy, which is preparing to "welcome" the Fiera dell'Utero in Affitto (in Milan on 21-22 May), two bills are already being discussed that would extend the punishability of the practice even when carried out abroad. And a popular initiative bill is on the way
While in Italy we are preparing to "welcome" the Fair of the surrogate motherhood, scheduled for 21-22 May in a place still unknown - we will know only at the last minute - and in addition to the two bills already under discussion in the Commission of Justice of the Chamber of Deputies, proposals that call for the punishment of "surrogate motherhood even if carried out abroad, is preparing a draft law of popular initiative with a collection of signatures for a definitive stop to the practice - we will soon give details - next 28 April [...]

Story of a detransitioner called Carol
'I was simply a lesbian, but I didn't accept it'. Her story demonstrates the dangers of a 'gender affirmative' model of care that accepts patients' self-diagnosis of being trans, standard practice in American transgender medicine.
Carol had long suspected that her daily life in rural California would be easier if she were a man. Yet she was amazed at how true this was. As a 'butch' (masculine) woman, (and 'not very smiley') she had regularly been treated with mild contempt, she says. After a double mastectomy and a few months of testosterone - which gave her facial hair and a gravelly voice - 'people, cashiers, everyone, suddenly became so damn [...].

Zan draft law: calling things by their name

Zan Bill: give things their real name
The real name of Zan's bill, which was blocked a few days ago in the Senate, should have been the bill on gender self-certification and not against homotransphobia. That was the real objective, the self-id, and that is why the law has stalled. Sacrificing the rightful protection of homosexual and transsexual people to the arrogance of queer transactivism.
A brief comment, after the filing of Zan's bill on homobi-transphobia, mainly intended for the non-Italian sisters and friends who ask us to explain; and for those Italian women who are still unclear about what happened. About a year ago, Zan's bill against homobi-transphobia was approved in the Chamber of Deputies amidst general silence and inattention. At that stage, the media completely obscured the debate, while the ongoing Covid wave - in Italy the vaccination campaign had not yet begun [...].

COMMUNICATION FROM THE FEMINIST NETWORK AGAINST THE ZAN DDL #NoncancelleRete
The protection of homosexual and transsexual persons is a different game from that of gender identity, which aims to reduce human sexuality to insignificance. The two levels must be kept separate. The Senate should vote in full conscience
The Zan dossier is too important to be left to the electoral tactics and personalism of politicians. At issue, with the introduction of gender identity, is a model of civilisation in which human sexuality is reduced to insignificance, an issue that concerns everyone and everyone. We indicated the possibility of returning to the Scalfarotto bill of 2018 -then relaunched by Italia Viva- because that text, born in the centre-left, guarantees the necessary protection of homosexual and transsexual persons [...]
