The Zan bill has stumbled mainly - but not only - on gender identity, the first step towards free self-certification of gender or self-identity. But once out the door, gender identity is trying to get back in through the window. Or rather, through the many windows of laws, local laws, regulations and codes that will use the concept anyway.
